Question:

I live in the state of Alaska. Very cold and very diverse. Assuming temperatures between -10 through 20. Would it be wise to have them inflated even during the cold temperatures? Does it need to be deflated/inflated over a period of time during the weather? When stuck in snow would it be wise to release the air or leave it be and start recovery maneuvers? Any other questions relating to this please note it down! Thanks in advance!

The Firestone Coil-Rite # F4174 are rated for use in temperatures as low as -40F, so they will be able to handle some of the worst weather that Alaska has to offer. You would not need to deflate them in cold weather, but it's likely that these bags would lose some of their pressure naturally because of the cold and the laws of physics. The one precaution you can take to avoid air leakage is by making sure that you use a tubing cutter # AL10530 during installation, which will make sure that the air lines sit firmly on the bags and reduce the chances of air escaping. These bags do require a minimum of 5psi in order to function, so you'll need to make sure that they don't drop below that.

When it comes to getting stuck in the snow, there won't be any need to release the air during recovery. I think you're going to find that these are extremely versatile and don't require much attention once they're installed.
