Is There a Weight Capacity on an Ultra-Fab Skid Wheel
Published 03/11/2020 >
Question:
How much weight will this roller withstand? I have a 13K pound trailer dry that drags over inclines. Wondering if this wheel would help of if there is one that would be more heavy duty for my situation.

Expert Reply:
The Ultra-Fab Steel Mini-Roller for Trailers and RVs # UF48-979022 is not rated for a weight capacity because these types of skid wheels are not intended to be consistently bearing a load. Because of the function of a skid wheel, the manufacturer does not test them to do anything but redirect the load to keep the frame from making contact.
With that being said, this skid wheel is extremely durable and made for heavy duty applications. It will work just fine on a 13000-lbs trailer and will do a good job of keeping the frame of the trailer from being damaged when going over these inclines and bumps.
