All of the Class II ball mounts out there have a 3/4 inch diameter ball hole. It might be the best solution for you to replace the ball you have with one that will fit that ball hole size like what comes with the # 36065 that you mentioned.
For a 2 inch ball you'd need the # C40018 or for a 1-7/8 inch ball # C40001 and you'd be set.
