Should this fit in a 2018 Ram 3500 Short Bed, while still being able to operate the Ram factory fifth wheel puck system properly?

The UWS Truck Bed Chest # UWS01048 has a notched lower section which means it would only take up about 15 inches of your truck bed space from behind the cab. That would easily not interfere with the OEM rail kit of your 2018 Ram 3500 short bed or any hitch you'd have installed in it.
