Does Power Wire of Curt T-Connector Need to Connect to Battery if Trailer Uses LED Lights

Question:
I converted all the light bulbs on my trailer to LED bulbs. The vibration caused me to constantly change regular bulbs The result is that my trailer lights have very low amp draw. Would I still need to run a wire to the battery? Thanks

Yes, you would indeed. The Curt # C56339 wiring harness won't function unless that power wire is installed to the positive battery terminal. Obtaining the power directly from the battery makes for a more reliable connection. It also serves to help isolate the vehicle's sophisticated and expensive to repair wiring from any short circuits that could occur in the trailer wiring.
