Question:

I just got a 2020 Lexus RX 350 and now need a trailer hitch. What do you recommend?

The trailer hitch I recommend for a 2020 Lexus RX 350 is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75676. The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch is a custom bolt-on fit with no drilling required so you will not need to make any major permanent modifications. Furthermore, the Draw-TiteTrailer Hitch has a hidden cross tube so only the receiver tube is shown (see photo) therefore you can retain a factory-like appearance. In regards to installation, this is very simple taking most only around thirty minutes or so with only common hand tools so this is definitely something you can do at home in your driveway/garage.

If you will be using the trailer hitch for a bike rack, I recommend the Thule Hitching Post Pro part # TH934XTR which has the capacity to hold up to four bikes and it can tilt down and away from the vehicle so you can still get into the rear hatch area with the bike rack installed.

THANKS FOR THE QUICK RESPONSE. AS AN ALTERNATIVE IM LOOKING AT YOUR BIKE RACK SAR83FR.WITH THIS BIKE RACK DO YOU KNOW IF THE TAIL GATE CAN BE OPENED WITHOUT TAKING THE RACK OFF? THANKS AGAIN-ED

Did you mean the # SAR83FR trunk rack? If that's correct, you would need to remove the rack completely before opening the tailgate. This would be the case with any trunk mounted carrier for your vehicle, and is definitely one of the downsides of going that route.

I have a 2020 Lexus RX350 Fsport with all the safety figures plus kicking sensor trunk opening that located right where the hitch should be. Unfortunately the Lexus dealer told me that my car doesnt suitable to install a hitch after checking with my VIN number. Please tell me what should i do to carry my two bikes? Can I use a trunk bike rack? one of a local store told me that I cannot use a trunk bike rack because the spoiler of my Lexus is too large? is it true? thank you!

We actually have one hitch available that will work on your 2020 Lexus RX 350 with the Stealth # 391LXRX16. Because of its unique design it wouldn't interfere with the rear hatch/kick sensor and the receiver itself can actually be completely removed when not in use so the hitch is "invisible". Your local bike shop was correct in saying that the rear spoiler will cause issues with a trunk rack, so going with a hitch is your best option.

@ChrisR thank you for the quick response from you! But etrailer.com mentioned this “excluding F Sport F Sport” Please double check if there was any mistaken information. Thank you! On the other hand I just has learned that the “Hollywood over the top trunk bike car rack for vehicle with spoiler “ might work? Thank you for your time!

The Stealth Hitch # 391LXRX16 does actually fit the F-Sport model of your Lexus RX 350. The fit guide can be a little confusing at times because of how we have to organize certain vehicle fits. We have this hitch listed under both "F Sport" and "Excluding F Sport" to stay consistent with the other trailer hitches available (most of which do not fit the F Sport). This is so the Stealth Hitch shows up whether you select "F Sport" or "Excluding F Sport" on the drop-down menu. I hope that makes sense.

I have a 2020 Lexus RX 350. It is not an F-Sport. I am curious why expert Connor L states that no cutting or drilling is necessary for the 2020? Is this because a piece is being left off? Is that that the 2020 is different than the other models due to the kick sensor? If I can leave all the plastic on without cutting and the kick sensor continues to work after installation, then this hitch is a great option and I may purchase it. If not, I would like to understand if the Stealth 391LXRX16T fits my RX 350 (non sport)?

The Draw-Tite # 75676 is a good fir for your (non-F Sport) 2020 Lexus RX350. The plastic air deflector does need to be removed for installation. Typically this is just left off as the hitch itself takes its place in terms of offering protection, but if you wanted to you could certainly trim and re-install once the hitch is in place. No drilling or other modifications are needed. Once the hitch is mounted you'll likely just need to move your foot to either side of the receiver to activate the lift gate sensors.

@ChrisR I am not sure all that is possible due to the kick sensor placement. I will have to look into where that sensor is placed before I embark on purchasing this item. I also think Connor L.'s comment about no cutting and drilling is misleading if we have to take something off and leave it off to avoid that.
