Removing OEM Skid Plate to Install Curt Front Mount Receiver # C31048 on 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Question:
I have a 2003 GC Limited V-8 H.O. with factory skidplates. The underside front has a skidplate under the radiator and does not look anything like what I see in the installation instructions. It appears that the side mounting brackets will interfere with the skidplate. Will this hitch fit my vehicle without removal of the front skidplate?

I spoke with my contact in Technical Support at Curt Manufacturing, who tells me that their front mounted receiver would bolt to the underside of the front frame members and around the front stabilizer bar using with two of the connection points utilizing the existing holes for the stabilizer bar retaining bracket, as shown in the provided photo.
If the skid plate covers the mounting location and the retaining brackets, the skid plate would need to be removed in order to install the receiver.
