Question:
Can you please tell me which Draw Tite trailer hitch is best suited for a 2015 Ford Edge SEL with the automatic life gate sensor? I see in one video Draw Tite part number 75234 is recommended. Then in other places it shows that is only a fit for the Titanium/Sport model. For the SEL trim part number 75214 is called for. Please help clarify for me. I am looking for a hitch that is the least conspicuous. No wiring is needed. Thank you.

The Draw-Tite hitch part # 75234 is a fit for both the 2015 Ford Edge SEL and the Titanium/Sport models. However, the 75234 will limit the Liftgate sensor to either side of the hitch on either model. The sensor in the middle will be blocked but you can kick your foot to either side of the receiver the sensors on the sides will open the Liftgate. That is the same for all of the hitch fits for the 2015 Ford Edge SEL including the Draw-Tite Class III hitch part # 75214.
The hitch part # 75234 does have the least conspicuous design because of it's hidden cross tube which is why I recommend it. The only portion of the hitch that is visible once installed is the receiver portion. I have attached a photo for your reference. There is a bit of modification required to install the hidden cross tube design which includes removing a metal stud from he frame of the Ford Edge SEL using a die grinder. I have also attached an installation video for your reference. This hitch will still limit the lift gate senors to each side of the hitch like I mentioned earlier.
