We have exactly what you need to add a fully-functional 7-Way to your 2020 Ford Explorer!
You need to start off with the T-One # 118599 which tees in behind your tail lights and then pulls power directly from your battery for the basic trailer light functions. Then you need to add the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 which comes with all of the wiring and connectors needed for fully-functioning 4-Way and 7-Way connectors.
If you are needing to add a brake controller into the mix as well then I highly recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR because it can be installed virtually anywhere and only requires you to have immediate access to the 3/4" diameter control knob from your driver's seat. This controller also gives you options for 2 different styles of braking action, proportional and user-control (time-delayed), so that you get the best trailer braking for your towing application.
Attached are some videos related to the wiring and brake controller that you can check out.
