Question:
I want to use this controller on my motorhome that will be pulling a car hauling trailer with my 2019 ford escape on the trailer. The motorhome is a 38foot fleetwood with a frieghtliner chassis air brakes that is wired with a 7way at the hitch. When I get to my location I want to unload my car and use the car to move the trailer or haul small items with the trailer. Can I move the P3 controller form vehicle to vehicle and what parts would I need? thank you,

The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller # 90195 that you referenced is a great brake controller and can pretty easily be swapped from your RV to the Ford Escape when needed. Since both tow vehicles will require a hardwire installation (no plug-in adapter cords are available for either) you will just want to add a second pigtail harness # 20127 so you can unplug them from the controller itself when needed and have the plug ready to go on the other vehicle.
If the brake output (blue) and 12V power (black) wires have already been run up to the cab on your Freighliner from the 7-Way then you can just hardware the Prodigy P3 to the appropriate wires at the dash and behind the brake pedal. Otherwise you can use the Wiring Kit # 5506, which includes the needed wiring and circuit breakers to do this.
I'm not sure what your 2019 Ford Escape is already equipped with but just for recommendations sake I will tell you everything that's needed and you can skip past what you already have.
Starting with the 4-Way trailer harness I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118802, which will plug into factory ports behind the rear tail lights. Once the 4-Way is in place you can use the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 to upgrade it to a fully functional 7-Way. This kit includes all the needed wiring to do this, along with the extra components needed to actually install the Prodigy P3.
I have attached an installation video on the Tekonsha T-One and the written instructions for the Universal Wiring Kit that you can look through as well.
