Troubleshooting Everchill Refrigerator that Leaks Water

Updated 06/20/2022 | Published 09/21/2019

Question:

Water leaks inside this fridge like crazy. It’s coming from the upper panel looking thing inside the fridge. Right st the top under the freezer. Not sure what it’s called but also things will freeze if pushed to back if fridge. Any suggestions.

Typically when a refrigerator is leaking water is because the defrost drain is clogged most commonly by frost. You might turn the fridge off to defrost it and the drain line to see if it will unclog and start draining properly. It's also worth check to make sure the line is not clogged by dirt or anything else. Also you might lower the temperature setting of your fridge as well.

The drain line and actual pan should be located directly above the compressor. When looking at the back of the Everchill fridge, there's a cover/panel that needs to be removed to expose the drain.

@ChrisR we have the exact same problem as Robin. However our fridge is bolted into our RV it is not a stand alone. If we remove the 4 screws above and below to pull it out, will this allow us to see the drain line?

@Kathryn Yes - if you remove the mounting screws and pull the fridge out you should have access to the drain line.
