Wiring New Brake Lights in Pop Up Camper That Uses More Wires than Older Lights

Question:
Hello - We recently purchased a 95 Palamino Mustang pop up and wanted to replace the brake lights on it. I purchased Lumitronics replacement lights which each have two whiteground wires, a green, red, and black wire. Once I took off the old lights the driver side has a white, red, and green wire and the passenger side has a green, brown, and white. I am slightly confused as to which wires to connect since the new lights have four different color wires and the camper only has three colors on each side. I wanted to see if you had any advice on how I should be connecting these? Thanks.

Sounds like you bought the Lumitronics trailer taillight that's similar to the # RVST51 you referenced but also has a reverse light circuit built into the center of the light like the # 30-92-002 which is why there's seemingly an extra wire.
Since we don't carry the brand you have I can reasonable guess what the functions of the wire colors are on your light but you might test them by running the white wires to the negative post of the battery and then checking each of the wires to the positive side to see what they light up. The green is most likely stop turn, red is probably running lights, and black is probably reverse.
Whichever is the reverse light circuit could be just left off not attached to anything.
