Question:

I have a 2002 with the square plug not the round where it hooks to the truck and nothing works do you have an idea

The # 118243 connector you referenced isn't a confirmed fit for the 2002 Ford Super Duty. My contact at Tekonsha tells me that the connector used on the # 118243 is identical to what's on your truck, but it might be pinned out differently. Over the years, I've heard a report or two that confirms this but I'm unable to confirm it for sure. You could plug the connector in, then use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 and confirm the pin functions by comparing them to the diagram shown in our help article I've linked for you. You can use a jewler's screwdriver or small regular screwdriver to release the wires in the connector and rearrange them.

Another option, if you don't feel comfortable repinning the harness would be to cut off the rectangular connector and wire in something like the # HM40975-11998.
