Question:
I have a 2002 ford f250 7.3L. I have a lot of modifications for towing. Does derale make a remote mount unit with stacked plates. I am purchasing the derale trans pan to add extra fluid. My trans runs right above 250 degrees currently. What cooler do I need to get to achieve the maximum efficiency?

If you do not have the necessary space directly behind the grille, a remote mount cooler with a fan would be your best bet for maximum cooling efficiency. A stacked plate cooler/ fan combo like part # D13950 offers a good balance between performance and relatively small size. You will want to mount the cooler in a protected location that has sufficient air flow to allow the fan to push air through the cooler.
Ideally, you want to see your transmission cooler temperature below 200 degrees.
For the transmission lines on your 7.3, you will also need the Derale adapter fittings, part # D13025.
