I have a solution for you, but after checking with the manufacturer, the Westin Fey Surestep Rear Bumper # 66001 is not a confirmed fit on your 1988 Jeep Comanche. The replacement bumper to use is the Westin Fey Diamondstep Rear Bumper # 63000-97900 which comes with the custom install kit and instructions specifically for the 1988 Comanche. The difference between the two is very negligible aesthetically- one has a raised line tread pattern on the step, whereas the # 63000-97900 has the diamond treads.
