Since the strap length of the Malone SlingTwo Kayak Storage System # MPG341 that you referenced is adjustable you could easily use it with only 6 feet of vertical space. It doesn't have an exact height setting it would be on your wall but you could adjust the strap length so that basically the straps hold the kayaks up to the top of the mounts.
