The best 1-1/4" hitch receiver option for the 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon is the Class II EcoHitch Hidden 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7267 because it has the easiest installation compared to the other 1-1/4" options that require drilling into the frame. I have attached an installation video for your reference. It is also a concealed cross tube design so the only portion of the hitch that is visible once installed is the receiver opening which gives it a nice clean look.

The EcoHitch also provides the most ground clearance of the 1-1/4" options available with 16-1/4" from the ground to the top of the receiver tube.
