Question:
I also have a Reese classic 14K hitch with no springs. i am ordering the 30776 springs but i got a picture from Reese that is different than yours. In your picture, the on spring will tend to pull the hitch open. that does not seem correct. Please compare the picture i have from Reese to yours.

The picture you got from Reese is the correct way to install the replacement spring part # 30776 that you mentioned. The very old picture you found is out of date and I changed it to the correct one you received from Reese.
