Is this made of metal or plastic? RG04-040: Hub OD measurement is different. The measurement inside my hub was 1.986 according to my calipers. Will this work with my hub?

To answer your first question, the Spare Tire Lock # FSTL0603 is made of metal and not plastic.
In regards to the grease cap you asked about, since you got a 1.986" diameter you will want to use the Replacement EZ Lube Drive-In Grease Cap - 1.986" OD # 21-41-1 with the Grease Cap Plug # RG04-010.
