Bike Rack Solution That Allows Full Access to Rear Door of Vehicle
Question:
Hanging style bike racks can't tilt with bikes loaded since that would brake the frame cradles but I believe I have a solution that would work well. For that I recommend the Yakima FullSwing part # Y02465 which allows you to swing the bike rack out and away from the rear of the vehicle with bikes loaded to give you full access to the rear of it. I attached a review video for this rack for you to check out as well. If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Kuat Bike Frame Adapter Bar # UB01 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
