Does this brake controller mount the same as your recommendation for the 2018 Q7?

Yes, the P3 brake controller part # 90195 installs in your 2019 Audi Q7 with a factory 7-way the same way it would in a 2018 which I attached a tech bulletin for. That said I have a MUCH easier option I think you'd prefer with the Curt Echo part # C51180.

Since your vehicle has a factory 7-way already all you have to do is plug this into it, sync it to your smart phone and you are on your way. No complicated install or special harnesses needed. This controller is also proportional like the P3 which means it's going to sense how hard you are applying the vehicle brakes and apply the trailer brakes just as hard.
