Recommended Trailer Hitch for Ford F-53 Chassis with 31-1/2 Inch Frame Width

reese 37042 hello, whow many flexible from min to max inch I have to install. Between my frame mounts is a disance of 33.5. A Ford F53 chassie RV. Other mesurement will fit. Thank you If not do you get a class III/ IV Hitch with a 31.5inch mount from Hole to hole?

For your Ford F-53 chassis I recommend taking a look at the Draw-Tite Multi-Fit Trailer Hitch # 5350. This is an adjustable hitch specifically designed for applications like yours as it can fit frame widths that measure between 24 and 46 inches. It will provide you with a 2 inch receiver opening and a towing weight capacity of 5,000 pounds.

You can either use the included hardware to bolt the hitch to the frame or have it welded on for a no-drill installation. I have attached a short video review along with the written installation manual that you can check out as well.

We don't have the Reese 37042 trailer hitch that you mentioned available but this looks to be an older model that was designed to fit certain model pickup trucks. This likely won't work for your Ford F-53.
