Camera System Options that Use the Factory Ram Uconnect Monitor

Question:

Is there a way to connect a backup camera to my U Connect screen in my truck? The truck already has a backup camera in the tail gate which I do not use. Thanks,

Yes, we do have camera systems that you can use with the Uconnect system in what I can only assume is a Ram truck. For this, the only confirmed option we have is a truck bed camera like the Truck Bed Cargo Camera for Factory Monitor part # 3460015 which works on almost all newer Ram trucks with the factory reverse camera and 4.3, 5, or 8.4 Uconnect systems.

If you want to use a different camera system then I do have options for you but you will need to make sure you have RCA jacks on the back of your factory monitor. If you do then you can use either the Rear View Safety Adapter Cord part # RVS-RCA5-AM for male or part # RVS-RCA5 for female to attach pretty much any RVS camera system which I have attached a list of for you.

2016 Ram Laramie 8.4 i bought a truck camper. I will lose my tail gate camera. Do you have a camera to plug into the tail gate harness and mount on the camper back when the camper is on the truck?

Unfortunately we don't have anything that's designed to plug in-line with the factory tailgate camera harness (and work with the OEM monitor), but you could certain hardwire in a new backup camera system to mount to the camper. The Furrion # FOS05TASF is a really nice option.

@ChrisR what about compatibility on a 2020 Ram 1500 with the 12in Uconnect system?

@Casey we do not have a U-Connect system compatible with an aftermarket camera.
