Will Fan-Tastic Vents Roof Vent Ceiling Garnish Fit Older Fan-Tastic 1200 Roof Vent

Question:

I purchased and installed a Fan-Tastic 1200 roof fan and the leg on the included trim piece is too short. I see that Fan-Tastic has a newer model of my 1200 vent fan with the part number 801200. Will the FVK1060-81 garnish fit my older Fan-Tastic 1200?

I reached out to my contact at Fan-Tastic Vent and he said that if your model 1200 roof vent is under 5 years old then they know for a fact that the Ceiling Garnish # FVK1060-81 will fit. The company who previously owned Fan-Tastic Vent didn't keep records of replacements so if your vent is older than 5 years it is anyone's guess as to whether this garnish will fit properly or not. You can definitely try but there is no guarantee.

I did go out to the warehouse and found that the opening measures about 13-1/2" x 13-1/2" (see attached picture). You can use this to help determine if this will fit your older model.
