Does Anything Need to Be Changed When Going From Incandescent Bulbs to Led Trailer Lights
Published 01/11/2012 >
Question:
I have had this product on my highlander for a year now and I was using a trailer with incandescent bulbs. But recently I got a new trailer with L E D lights. When I bought the trailer I was told I might need to change the fuse or else the fuse could blow and cause a fire. So do I need to change the fuse that came with this kit, or does this kit work with both leds and incandescent bulbs?

You should have no problem using the Tow Ready Wiring Harness # 118248 on your 2007 Toyota Highlander with a trailer that has LED tail lights.
The only time LED lights require something being changed is when you go from incandescent bulbs on a blinker circuit of a vehicle to LED lights. Then you might have a hyper-flashing situation, but that is not an issue with trailers. It should perform fine with either bulb style on a trailer.
