Can you tell me the center to center distance of the padded Vs of this clamp?

I measured the center to center distance of the Replacement Top Plate for Swagman Original Series 4 Bike Carriers - 2009 and Newer # P121 and found it was approximately 6 inches between the padded V's (or cradles) of this plate.
This replacement top plate is meant to be used on Swagman Original 4-bike racks that were made in 2009 or after.
Three of the Hand Knobs # P1041 will be needed to install the top plate to the rack.
