What Rail Kit Do I Need to Use the Reese 30046 Hitch on a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Hello, Is the Part #RP50064-58 compatible with a Reese Part #30046 fifth wheel hitch? I have a 2017 chevy silverado 1500 with a 6-1/2 foot bed.

Yes, the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails part # RP50064-58 is exactly what you need to use the Reese 15K 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch 30046 on your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. However, according to my research the Reese 15K 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch 30046 is a fixed 5th wheel hitch and since you have a short bed truck, you will need to use a sliding hitch to obtain sufficient clearance for sharp, 90 degree turns unless you are also using a rotating pin box or your trailer has a tapered nose. If that is not the case then you can reuse the hitch head you have now but you will need to replace the base with the Reese Square Tube Slider for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30048.
