Question:

We have a 2008 Roadtrek and would like to carry our two road bikes in the carrier instead of inside, as we do now. We need them to be enclosed.

You'll need to compare the inner dimensions of the GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # H006049 that you referenced to the dimensions of your bikes as you'd want to transport them (most likely front wheel removed). The inner dimensions of this carrier are as follows: Inner dimensions of the pod are 46-1/2" long x 24" wide x 25" tall.

If that is not enough space, the GearSpace 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier # HGK826 boasts that it will carry two bikes with Bike Mount Kit # HGK963-2. (If you have the budget for this one!)
