Is the roller 3 1/2 inches diameter. My old one is and I just wanted to make sure its similar.

The roller tube for the Solera 12' Black Fade RV Awning Roller and Fabric # LCV000211455 referenced in your question has an outside diameter of 3-1/2 inches just like what you currently have. This should work perfectly as a replacement.
