2019 GMC Acadia Denali with Adaptive Cruise Control Compatibility with Roadmaster Base Plate Kit

Updated 03/21/2019 | Published 03/20/2019

Question:

I have a 2019 Acadia with Denali trim and adaptive cruise control and am wanting to use the RM-523189-5 Baseplate kit. In the comments section of the Fitmaster product match part of you website it states Comments: Includes Denali. No Adaptive Cruise Control. No 2.5 engine.inch Is the adaptive cruise control something that can be just turned off? Or is it something that precludes installation of this bracketry? I just bought the car yesterday intending to tow it so am not as familiar with the option and how it impacts the fit and function of your bracketry.

The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-523189-5 has not been tested yet for that feature. My contact says they are in the process of testing that vehicle in the next few weeks for the adaptive cruise control, and they think that kit will be compatible based on what they see in figures N and O in the current instructions (attached), but they haven't yet done the testing yet to confirm. They believe they will have a definitive answer whether it is compatible or not by mid April 2019. They have had other installers do the work with this combination but not report back and unfortunately we haven't seen that vehicle at this time either to confirm.

The physical fit is the question not the ability to turn the system on or off as it won't be on when flat towed.
