Troubleshooting DeeZee Tailgate Assist Not Lowering Tailgate Completely

Question:
Tail gate going down part way are locks there. January 2019 I purchased the assist for my 2011 Chevy Silverado worked good for 2 months now seems locked about quarter of the way down. Thank you

It sounds like the DeeZee Tailgate Assist Custom Tailgate-Lowering System for Pickup Trucks # DZ43102 has something bound in the shock absorber. If you can't force the unit to free up and allow complete movement, then there is something wrong with the unit and it will be covered under your warranty from the manufacturer.
