Question:
Im looking to carry 2 kayaks on my 2015 GMC Sierra 6.5foot bed. I have a Bakflip G2 tonneau cover installed already and Im looking for a way to carry kayaks over the top of this. Can you recommend a system that would allow for this configuration?

The best available option for adding a ladder rack to your 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 that is equipped with the BAKFlip G2 Tonneau Cover # BAK26121 is with the Thule TracRac SR # TH43002XT-781. This is a unique rack that sits right on top of the bed rails of your truck (most use clamps that attach on the inside) so that it will fit with the BAKFlip G2 that installs inside the rails.
This is a really nice system that uses T-track base rails that allow you to move the crossbars for different size loads and durable aluminum bars that feature a 1,250 pound weight capacity. They will work great to secure a couple of kayaks or whatever else you need to transport.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this rack that you can check out as well.
The only potential issue with this setup is the weather stripping on the BAKFlip G2 Cover. It likely extends just a tiny bit over the top of the bed rails (see attached image) which means it will contact the base of the TracRac when it's being folded up. The cover and rack will still work perfectly but over time this interference might wear down on the weather strip.
