For your 2018 Ford F-150 with 5.5 foot bed the Thule TracRac CapRac Ladder Rack for Camper Shell/Truck Cap # TH29200XT is what is confirmed to fit the cap on your truck. The cantilever like # TH24002XT although it would fit the crossbar of the system is not recommended to be used because the torque on the feet and mounting hardware of that system are not rated for the extra 24 lb extension and any weight you would add to it.

The cantilever system is designed only to be used with the ladder rack that mounts to the bed rails and has a much more significant base and weight rating.

If you want support over your truck cab, I recommend adding a roof rack to your cab. Regardless of if you have the SuperCab or SuperCrew Cab, I recommend the Thule rack comprised of the Evo Clamp feet # TH710501 and fit kit # TH145177. Then for bars you can use the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Silver - 60" Long - Qty 2 # TH711500 or the heavy duty Thule ProBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - 69" Long - Qty 2 # TH713600 which can be cut to length and will be more similar in look to the TracRac bars but have additional function.
