Question:
Hi, I read your answer to the question 90251 Which 1141 LED Bulbs are Closest to Producing the Same Light as Incandescent Bulbs and I saw you recommended the Arcon 50367/50368 bulbs. They look great, but I am upgrading to a 24V system to run more efficient appliances with a solar off-grid setup for boondocking, and I would like to upgrade my standard 1141 bulbs to 24V LED at the same time. Obviously, I could use a DC/DC transformer to step down to 12V, but Id rather just put in 24V bulbs to save myself the cost and hassle of the converter, and to maximize the efficiency of my whole system. Do you know if the Arcon 50367/50368 bulbs work with 24V? If not, can you recommend another good bulb option, similar to the 50367/50368? I have about two dozen fixtures throughout my RV. Thanks,

In order to use either the 1141 LED Bulb part # DI23VR for soft white or the 1141 LED Bulb part # DI55VR for bright white in your trailer you would need to install a transformer as neither of these light bulbs are recommended for use on a 24VDC electrical system. Unfortunately, we do not carry any 1141 LED bulbs that are compatible with a 24VDC electrical system therefore using a transformer will be your only option. I wish I had better news for you.
