Using BedRug Universal Fit Bed Mat on 1997 Ford F350 Long Bed without Bed Liner
Updated 12/12/2011 | Published 12/07/2011 >
Question:
Can this product be used without a bedliner? Our 1997 Ford F-350 longbed has a campershell and we need something to use as a protective, non-skid matt. Thank you

The BedRug Universal Truck Bed Mat you referenced, part # BMX00D is meant to be used with a drop-in bed liner, because the drop in liner provides the attachment point to the truck (see diagram on the product description page).
The folks at BedRug tell me that if the mat is used with a camper shell, there would be no danger of the mat flying out while driving down the highway and would work fine for you. You could use hook and loop fasteners to keep the mat from sliding around, if so desired.
Keep in mind that the mat is a universal application, and would need to be trimmed to fit.
