Can Grease be Used on Reese Weight Distribution with Trunnion Bars
Updated 02/25/2019 | Published 02/23/2019 >
Question:
I believe the question that asked I read that you should use fiburos grease on the part of weight distribution bars that go into the hitch.inch was not referring to where the bars meet the dual cam, rather he was referring to where the trunnion bars into the head your part number RP58167. The instructions state the following Lubricate the ballmount sockets and spring bar trunnions to prevent rapid wear. When hooking-up, place one of oil on the top and a second on forward side of upper trunnion. Place a third on the rear side of lower trunnion before ing trunnion into ballmount. Use a heavy oil such as REESE ON THE BALL.inch So I believe the real question is Reese says oil is grease ok?

Yes, you can use grease with a Reese trunnion-style weight distribution system like # RP66541.
The updated instructions, which are essentially the same as what you stated, does have a difference that answers your question. I cut out and highlighted the part which states "Use a heavy oil or grease."
