Can Pace Edwards SwitchBlade Hard Tonneau Cover # 311-SWFA19A45 be Opened Partially

Question:
I would like to use the retractable cover slid most, but not all of the way in while towing a 5th wheel. Does the spring tension pull it all the way in or can you leave it part way extended while travelling.

The Pace Edwards SwitchBlade Hard Tonneau Cover # 311-SWFA19A45 can be slid only partially open if needed. If you check out the 50 second mark of the video I attached you'll see that our demo guy partially opened it and it stayed there once he let go of the cover.
