Does a Mercedes gla 250 4matic needs snow chains? If yes, where is recommended to put them, front or rear?

I pulled up the owners manual of your 2019 Mercedes Benz GLA 250 4Matic and the following sizes can have tire chains used with them but only on the front axle:

215/60R17
215/55R18

For the 17 inch wheel size the best option is the Konig Easy Fit Chains part # TH04115103. I recommend these chains highly as they offer excellent traction, will last a long time, and because they install in a matter of seconds.

For the same chain set for the 18 inch wheel size you'll want the part # TH2004735235 instead.
