Question:

I have a pre-99 Shorelandr boat trailer w/ a DL winch Cant find any identifying code on the winch. This looks like the parts kit I need, but there are a couple other kits that are very similar to this one. Is the bolt length the only difference between the pre-99 kits? If so, what is length of the bolt in this particular kit? thanks

We do have several different winch repair kits for Dutton-Lainson hand winches including both a brake spring repair kit # DL5703160 and ratchet repair kits like # DL70475 and the others shown on the linked pages.

If you cannot confirm the correct kit by comparing its appearance to the components on your winch you can send along a photo or two of the winch so we can try to have Dutton-Lainson identify it. You may find the winch part number on its bottom plate.

The bolt in kit # DL70470 measures 5-inches end to end.
