Question:
Thanks much for your response, I gave you some wrong information, the hitch date, 1999,not 2009,I do have the rails that came with the hitch ,I looked for a part # stamped, but didn't find anything, I could use some measurements, so I can get it positioned correctly. I am enclosing some pics, which I should have done to begin with. Thanks for your time and patience.

We have just what you'll need to install your Reese 20k hitch in the bed of your 1998 Chevy C3500. You'll want the Reese fifth wheel rail kit part # RP30035 which is a universal fit fifth wheel rail kit that has been confirmed as a fit for your truck. It provides the style of rails that a 20k Reese hitch made in 2009 would be designed to fit as well.
