I took a look at the online owner's manual for your 2018 Ford Escape and it states to use 10mm low clearance tire chains on the front tires only. Because of this I recommend the Konig Self-Tensioning, Low-Pro Snow Tire Chains # TH04115240 as they are the only actual tire chains that fit this criteria. We do have low clearance cables but they won't provide nearly as much traction as tire chains do.
Not only do the Konig chains have a self-tensioning feature with a quick-release, they also use D links in a diamond pattern which gives you the most area coverage further contributing to more traction. These chains are very easy to install which you can see demonstrated in the attached video and installation instructions.
