I would like to install a block heater on my 2001 Xterra. I have seen here on your page that it is possible to do so on other years, but not 2001 specifically. I have also read reviews on Amazon that sometimes the block heater from other dealers does not always fit the models they claim to fit - ie. the element is too long by millimeters - perhaps a manufacturing defect?, and I want to make sure I am getting the correct part for my particular vehicle. I am not sure which versioninch I have but the

I checked with Kat's and for your 2001 Nissan Xterra with a 3.3 liter V6 engine the correct block heater is the part # KH11417. This replaces a frost plug on your engine.
