Question:

I have a ski boat on a trailer weighing +/- 3000 pounds, Would the front ball hitch work weight wise for a 2016 Ram 1500?

As long as the tongue weight of your 3,000 lb boat trailer doesn't exceed the 500 lb tongue weight rating of the Draw-Tite # 65062 then this will work great for your 2016 Ram 1500.

I recommend using a cover like the Draw-Tite QSP # 63080 or Skid Shield # 6771 to help protect the front receiver when not in use. If you use the skid shield then I also recommend using a locking hitch pin like part # e98880 to help deter theft.
