Yes, the Edge EvoHT2 # EP26040 actually installs on your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 by simply plugging the included lead from the tuner into your OBDII port which is located under your driver's side dash.
As far as updating the tuner goes there is a USB port cable included that allows you to install the updates via the internet through your computer.
Please note that this specific tuner is not legal for sale or use in the state of California.
