The temperature sensor is only equipped on models that have a diesel engine and since a diesel engine was not an option on your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, I can safely assume you do not have this feature. Please keep in mind that this feature only needs to be taken into consideration when using full replacement towing mirrors like the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors part # KS62135-36G, not slip-on towing mirrors like the Longview Custom Towing Mirrors part # LVT-1800.
