Question:

My factory installed 7 way plug functions on my 2015 tacoma. The housing was damaged in an accident so it no longer has a bracket and hinged cover. Im looking for something I can easily plug into the existing 7way and remount a bracket. versus 1. $150-$200 for entire wiring harness not a good option 2. cut wires on existing and reconnect to a new 7 way blade seems like this my be my path. Will this work for a 2015 Tacoma r, # 74682, it is listed for 2009 tacoma and is priced about the same as my 2nd choice above, but not cutting and reconnecting of individual wires.

The Reese Multi-Plug Wiring Harness part # 74682 will work on your 2015 Toyota Tacoma so long as the US Car Connector which plugs into the back of a 7-way was not damaged. If it was then you would need to cut off the damaged connector and then wire in the Curt Universal Wiring Harness part # C56229.

Please keep in mind that you are more than likely going to need a new mount as well for which I recommend using part # C57202 because it doesn't require drilling.
