Installation time for the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate # RM-524447-4 on the 2018 Lincoln MKX will be approximately 4 hours for an experienced installer and naturally longer for a first-time installer.
This kit is recommended by Roadmaster for professional installation but I linked a video and the written instructions to help you see the whole process so you can determine for yourself a realistic install time.
Installation time for the wiring options for the MKX will vary depending on the type of kit chosen. Naturally a hardwired diode kit like # RM-15267 will take longer to install, about 2 hours, than a magnetic light kit like # TL21RK which will take far less time.
