I'll be happy to help but can you let me know if you have a 6-1/2 foot bed or 8-foot bed? Also, do you have the OEM prep package on your Ram 2500 or do you also need brackets and rails?

It is a 6.5', no it doesnt have the OEM prep package. I coming from a TT to this 5th. So I dont have the rails or brackets.

Thanks for that extra info. Both the Q20 and A20 are quality hitches with the main difference being that the Q20 uses what is called an an axial bearing that allows the hitch head to pivot 360 degrees while the A20 does not have that type of movement with the torsion head. Since you have a short bed you'll want a fixed hitch with a sidewinder. I recommend the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs # C16115 and Sidewinder Wedge # C16991. As for the base rails and installation kit you can use the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Ram Truck # C16427-204 which is a custom install that won't have you drilling into your truck's frame brackets to mount. I also recommend checking out the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector # C56000 if you need to add a harness.
