I checked the material of the K-Source Replacement Side Mirror # KSH3661 in our warehouse. It has metal mounting brackets, arm, and hardware. The housing of the mirror itself is plastic but has the chrome finish to look like metal but resist corrosion. It has the same footprint and mounting points as the factory mirror on your 1993 Ford F-150 so it is an easy no-drill installation.
