Question:
We have a 2015 Kia Sedona LX. GVWR 6085, GAWR Front 3064, Rear 3064, Max loaded trailer weight 3500, Max tongue weight 350. I have looked at a 1975 Terry Traveler Camper and like it. I am just concerned if the Kia can safely tow it. The seller believes the dry weight of trailer is 3500 which means it would max out tow capacity without anything loaded. He is not sure of this however. I can not find weight for that camper on line anywhere. Can you help.

I wasn't able to track down an exact unloaded weight for the 1975 Terry Travel Camper as there were quite a few different sub-models with varying weights. For example, the Terry M-13G on the low end features an unloaded weight of 2,500 pounds while the heaviest sub-model M-30 5C has an unloaded weight of 5,440 pounds. If you are able to locate the particular model of the Terry camper you are looking at, I will be happy to try and find its official unloaded weight.
Otherwise you may just need to take the trailer to a scale (or have the seller do this) to verify this number. You will definitely want to stay below the maximum trailer weight for your Kia Sedona as listed in the owner's manual.
If you don't yet have a trailer hitch installed, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class III MaxFrame # 75894. This Class III hitch is confirmed to fit your 2015 Kia Sedona LX and will use existing holes in its frame for a no-drill installation. I have attached an installation video on your vehicle that you can use for reference.
For a trailer wiring harness, I recommend the Curt T-Connector # C56332. This custom harness will install by plugging into factory ports under the vehicle on the driver side. This will provide you with a 4-Way connector to connect with and power a trailer's basic signal lights.
In order to tow a trailer, you will also need a ball mount and hitch ball. I have attached a great article that explains how to choose the best one for your setup along with a link that will take you to our available selection. I have also included a couple articles on trailer towing that you might find helpful.
